In 2003 The Natural History Museum granted us access to see the Sandow Cast.

It is stored in the most ignominious of surroundings and it is in sections, buried in a giant filing system with thousands of other artefacts that have never been put on display.

The cast is in 5 parts. We were allowed to put the head in place but as there are special pins for the arms which are now quite delicate we were not permitted to attach those.

The cords that you can see are there to support the body in storage.
